Units & Offices
We have six units to help navigate every part of the research and innovation journey. If you’re faculty, you will likely interface with most of the offices listed below. If you’re a partner (community, industry, non-profit, healthcare, government, or business), you will primarily interface with the Office of Research Commercialization and Partnerships.
Research Development & Engagement Office (RDE)
RDE offers research development support to position researchers for competitive external grant/contract proposals, interdisciplinary research, limited submissions and internal awards. RDE also drives data-informed research strategy.
Office of Sponsored Research Administration
(OSRA)
OSRA is the central administrative office for managing awards across the granting/contracting lifecycle, including proposal submissions, contracting, post award management and research financial compliance.
Office of Research Protections and Integrity (ORPI)
ORPI works to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and University policies. ORPI focuses on research integrity and protecting humans and animals involved in research.
Office of Research Translation and Industry Alliances (ORTIA)
Advancing and accelerating regional economic innovation research industry-government-investor through alliances and partnerships. ORTIA acts as a springboard for translating research into meaningful impact.

Office (DRBP)
DRBP supports the administrative and financial operations across all DR offices. The office also facilitates business partner relations, internal funding, and postdoc hiring.
