In compliance with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant or Synthetic Nucleic Acid Molecules (NOT-OD-25-082), our Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) is committed to transparency and public accessibility. In accordance with NIH guidelines, IBC meeting minutes are posted publicly for a minimum of five (5) years.

Approval and Posting Process
Meeting Schedule: IBC meetings are not held on a fixed calendar schedule. Instead, they are convened as needed and as member availability allows.
Approval Process: Draft minutes are reviewed and formally approved at the next convened IBC meeting.
Review & Redaction: After approval, the minutes are reviewed by the University’s legal and compliance offices to ensure that confidential or protected information is appropriately redacted before public release.
Posting Timeline: Because of this process, meeting minutes may take 2–6 weeks after the meeting to be posted.
